The Singapore Grand Prix was only resurrected in 2008 after almost 30 years of being at rest. It was formerly called the case of Formula Free during the 1960s. But Singapore's independence in 1965, the race held on the circuit was renamed the Thomson Road Grand Prix of Singapore.
